Carolyn Rhyne Mabe

Carolyn Rhyne Mabe, 67, of Ellerbe, completed her earthly journey on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Mrs. Mabe was born February 22, 1955 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Ramer Otho and Betty Lucille Reynolds Rhyne. She worked with Fruit of the Loom and H. L. Webb Trucking, was the former pianist for Ellerbe First Baptist Church and currently Jones Springs United Methodist Church. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Mabe.

Surviving are her son, Richard Mabe; siblings, Sara Puckett (William) and Rev. Don Rhyne (Virginia); her fur baby, Goofy; nieces and nephews, Tracy Lyerly (Chris), Phillip Sellers (Emily), Carson Rhyne and Christine Rhyne and great nieces and nephews, Hailie Lyerly (Dylan), Jenna Lyerly, Ashton Lyerly, Karleigh Sellers and Nathan Sellers.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Don Rhyne, and Rev. David Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. Chris Lyerly officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home.
