Betty East Dennis

Betty Ann East Dennis, 79 of Ellerbe went home to her Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born on January 20, 1942 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Sam Jones East and

Helen McPhaul East.  Betty loved her church, cooking, with cakes being her specialty and working with Richmond County schools as a bus driver for 44 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Hugh, Weaver, Knox, Wilton, Sam East, Jr., Bill East and Clara Pressley and Marie McQueen.

She is survived by her husband Denny Lee Dennis; her daughter Angie Hough-Rush(Kenny Rush), her son, Darel Dennis(Connie),  grandsons, Andrew Hough, Austin Hough(Carli), granddaughters Savannah Dennis and Alyssa Rush, grandsons Garrett and Connor Lentz.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Foundation of Firsthealth, 150 Applecross Road Pinehurst, NC 28374.
