William Charles Ludlum

TSGT William Charles “Bill” Ludlum, USAF-Ret., 85 of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Mr. Ludlum was born February 15, 1933 in Richmond County, a son of the late Ruvin Dewey and Ruth Estelle Lynn Ludlum. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1971. Following his retirement, he was employed with Clark Equipment and the Richmond County Schools Maintenance Department.

Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Carpenter Ludlum of the home; children, James Ludlum of Corpus Christi, TX and Glenda E. Hampton of the home; 2 grandchildren and sister, Alberta Freeman of Rockingham.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 11 am Friday, August 10, 2018 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Thornton officiating.

The family will see friends from 9:30 – 10:30 am Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
