Wesley Glenn Anderson

Wesley Glenn Anderson, 83, of Ellerbe passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Anderson was born April 2, 1939 in Richmond County, a son of the late Samuel Greene and Margaret Price Anderson. He was a graduate of Ellerbe High School, Class of 1957 and a member of the Cattleman’s Association. He had retired from Burlington Industries, however, farming and raising cattle were dearest to his heart.

He is survived by his wife of 62 ½ years, Peggy Tyndall Anderson; children, Sammy Anderson (Tammy), Jeanette McCormick (Kenneth) and Denise Hogan; grandchildren, Kenny McCormick (Amanda), Shane McCormick (Kristy), Tiffany McCormick , Beth Sampson (Andy), Hillary Hogan(Tyler Blount), Madison Hogan, Jonathan Norris and Caleb Norris; great grandchildren, Wesley Sampson , Jordan McCormick, Oliver McCormick, Leah McCormick, Landon Blount, Maelyn Blount, Everleigh Blount, Paisley Norris, Brynlee Norris, and Taylor Childers, and a sister, Louise Blue.

A service celebrating Mr. Anderson’s life will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Don Rhyne officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:45 -6:45 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
