Trena Saunders McDaniel

Trena Jo Saunders McDaniel, 67, of Rockingham, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 following a long courageous battle with ALS.

Mrs. McDaniel was born July 17, 1955 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Lee Royce and Edna Mae Carter Saunders. For over 30 years she owned and operated Small World and Lil Raiders Day Camp. She loved her family, animals and hummingbirds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Saunders.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry R. McDaniel; sons, Jared McDaniel and Adam McDaniel; siblings, Jimmy Lee Saunders, Pat Stogner, Sherry Dawn Boyd, Toni Lyn McKay and Lee Royce Saunders, Jr.

All services will be held privately.
