Later, he carved a successful career path, first as a skilled electrician and then as a valued member of the maintenance team at Morrison Youth Correctional Facility.
In the tapestry of his life, Teddie is survived by his former wife, Julie Hewett Cooke, his sons, Joshua and Scottie Cooke, and his daughter, Samantha Shives. His legacy lives on through the laughter and joy of his grandchildren, Lily Mae and Orion. Teddie's essence reverberates through the memories held by his family and friends. He was a man of the outdoors, finding solace in fishing, marveling at hummingbirds, and endlessly tinkering with projects, from boats to motorcycles. Kind, loving, and with a heart full of humor, Teddie's impact on the lives he touched will resonate for years to come.
As we navigate the shadows of grief, let us find solace in these words:
"There's a light in the darkness, There's a love that's true, And Jesus is waiting, He is waiting here for you."
