Sherrill Von Myrick

Sherrill Von Myrick, 66, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. He was born in Moore County on July 7, 1954, a son of Ruth Jarrell Myrick, who survives, and the late Oscar Adolf Myrick. 

Following graduation from high school, Sherrill served his country for seven years in the U.S. Navy. He then had a career as a truck driver, retiring from Estes Trucking Company.

In addition to his mother, his memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Gloria Gibson Myrick of the home; a brother, Scotty Myrick (Lydia); and two sisters, Tobie Brown (Walter) and Rhonda Sessoms (James). 

Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to a local Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
