Sharon Collins Black

Sharon Lavon Collins Black, 60, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Black was born June 6, 1961 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Charles LaVern  and Doris Vivian Sills Collins. She worked with Alco for 17 ½ years where her customers knew her as “Mom”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael L. Collins.

Surviving are her husband, William Russell. “Rambo” Black, Jr.; daughters, Crystal D. Collins, Amy G. Collins and Jennifer L. Collins (Nicole); grandchildren, Derrick J. Collins, Brooklyn D. Jackson and Jayden L Little; brothers Albert W. Collins (Frances) and James L. Collins and sister-in-law, Tonia Collins.

A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.

The family will greet friends from 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
