Sarah Ellen Smith Talley, 70, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at McLeod Hospice in Florence, SC.

Mrs. Talley was born December 27, 1955 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Lester and Nettie Arnette Smith. She retired from Cascades Industries and was a member of Southridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Larry W. Talley.

Surviving are her sons, Larry W. Talley, Jr and Ricky Talley; grandchildren, Riley Talley, Trevor Talley. Kayla Talley and Brittany Wood and great grandchildren, Nathan, Sophia, Eliza and Fionia; and siblings, Roy Smith, Bobby Smith, Joe Smith, David Smith, Patsy Smith, and Linda Puckett.

Memorial services will be Sunday February 22, 2026 from 2 to 3pm at Southridge Baptist Church.
