Samuel Jerome Crabtree, IV

Samuel Jerome Crabtree, IV, 66, of Ellerbe, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, at his home.

Samuel was born October 2, 1951, to the late Samuel Jerome Crabtree, III and Ellen Johnson Crabtree in Pittsburg, California. He worked for over 37 years for Thompson Arthur Paving Company. He was an avid wood worker and gardener. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Hope Crabtree of the home, Daughter Toni Haire of Ellerbe, NC, Grand Daughter Kathryn Patterson (Marshall), Great Grandson Theodore Patterson all of Jacksonville, NC, Sisters; Lotta Dawkins (Dell) of Ellerbe, NC, Juanita Watson (Alan) of Wendell, NC, Peanuts Crabtree of Ellerbe, NC, numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11am at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ellerbe with Rev. Mike Childers, Rev. Shane Yarbrough and Rev. Milton Haywood officiating.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 6-8pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and other times at the home.
