Ruth Avis Mabe

Ruth Avis Tuttle Mabe, 93 formerly of Ellerbe passed away on July 8, 2020 at Pineville Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on March 31, 1927 in Stokes County a daughter of the late Roland Cecil and Florence Martin Tuttle.  She was a homemaker and was married to Clyde Leonard Mabe for 75 years at his death. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, David Lee Mabe, and Toby Mabe; her grandchildren, Matthew Mabe, Sara and Jerry Mabe; and her brother Joe Cecil Tuttle and her sister, Lois Tuttle Horne.

She is survived by her son, Larry A. Mabe and daughter-in-law Linda E. Mabe; daughter-in-law Delorse Williams Mabe; grandchildren Shannon M. Jordan, Toby A. Mabe; great-grandchildren, Keith Jordan, Amanda Jordan, Rebekah Mabe; great-great grandchildren, Gracie Jordan, Johnny Broughton and Valerie Broughton.

The family will have a graveside service at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the Ellerbe Cemetery.
