Ruth Solomon Carter
Ruth Solomon Carter, 107, of Rockingham, passed away December 29, 2017 at the Hermitage.
Ruth was born on September 22, 1910 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James and Sarah Lee Solomon. She was a nurse’s aide for many years and was proud to serve her community.
Surviving are her daughters, Sarah Parrish, Kathy Joan Braddock and Linda Carter; 12 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Reverend Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
