Rose Marie Capuano of Rockingham, North Carolina, a vibrant soul born on September 22, 1939, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, departed this world peacefully on December 27, 2025, at St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Rose was a beacon of kindness and humor, who illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
A beloved Sales Consultant for La-Z-Boy Furniture, she effortlessly combined her professional endeavors with her innate talent for connecting with people. Rose's laughter and warmth were infectious, making gatherings with friends and family, a cherished highlight of her life. Her presence would light up any room, and her conversations, often lasting for hours on the phone, were filled with passion and grace, as she adeptly navigated between laughter and heartfelt connection.
Rose’s educational journey began at Liberty High School, from which she graduated, laying the foundation for her future pursuits. Throughout her life, she nurtured a profound love for animals, especially her dogs, who brought her immense joy during their time together. A devoted sports fan and movie enthusiast, Rose enriched her life with the simplest pleasures, celebrating every exhilarating game and captivating film with unabashed enthusiasm.
She is survived by her loving brother, Michael Capuano, III (Adrienne), and 10 cherished nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory fondly in their hearts. Her close friend, Jeanette Person, along with her family, will remember the many moments filled with shared laughter and profound friendship.
Rose's journey was marked by the love of her family, including her late father, Michael Anthony Capuano, her mother, Catherine Werner- Capuano, and her brothers Michael Jr., Tony, Louie, and Jimmy, who now welcome her with open arms. Each of these bonds was an integral part of who she was, shaping her into the remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and humor.
As the world mourns the loss of Rose Capuano, we also celebrate the vibrant legacy she leaves behind. Her spirit, one of joy and compassion, will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
