Ronald Stevenson Shaw

Ronald Stevenson “Steve” Shaw, 71, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Pruitt Health in Rockingham.

Steve was born April 8, 1955 in Guilford County, NC, a son of the late Martin Hoyle and Paulene Collins Shaw. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, was a machinist by trade and later taught his trade at the high school level. Being a machinist, he loved to tinker with just about everything, he loved to read and his search for knowledge never ended. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Shaw, Jackie Shaw, Martin Shaw, and Charlotte Shaw.

Surviving are his wife, Hannah Cole Buie; brothers, George Shaw, Mitchell “Mike” Shaw, Broderick Shaw, Hoyle Shaw, Marvin Shaw and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 -10:45 am Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with the funeral service following at 11:00 am. His brother, Pastor Mike Shaw will officiate. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
