Roger Dale Webster, 67 of Hamlet, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2025, in Hamlet, North Carolina. Born on July 2, 1957, in Richmond County, North Carolina, Roger was a man whose life was marked by dedication to both his career and family.
Roger had a varied professional background, having worked with Clark Equipment prior to its closing, and was skilled as a carpenter by trade. His hands, which had crafted so many projects, were also instrumental in nurturing his family. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandson, enjoying moments filled with laughter and love.
In addition to his family, Roger engaged in various hobbies that brought him joy. He found pleasure in fishing, cutting grass, and indulging in his favorite pastime of watching westerns. Known for his playful spirit, he had a knack for stretching the truth, always bringing a smile to those around him.
Roger leaves behind his children, Roger D. Webster, Jr. (Amy), Michael Webster (Candy), and Angela Webster. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren: Jeremy Webster (Amber), Jackson Webster, Cody Webster (Eisley), Alexis Webster, Haley Huffman, and Tyler Huffman, as well as his great-grandchild, Jedd Webster. He is also survived by his siblings: Joy Blake (Marvin), Cathy Edwards (Billy), Larry Webster (Sharon), and Paul Webster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Junior Webster and Mary Frances Ballard Webster, and his beloved wife, Anita Louise Jordan Webster.
The family will honor Roger's memory with a Visitation on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Grace Fellowship Church, located at 217 Midway Road, Rockingham, NC 28379. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Roger Dale Webster will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
