Robert Melvin Skene

Robert Melvin Skene, 77, of Hamlet passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Skene was born May 17, 1944 in Mantee County, Florida, a son of the late Melvin and Margie Austin Skene. He had proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Kerr Drugs as store manager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Garry Skene.

Surviving are his sons, Robbie Skene and Greg Diffley; 7 grandchildren; brother, Stuart Skene and several nieces and nephews.

Private interment will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
