Robert Earl Spears, fondly known as Bob, was a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many during his time on this earth. Born on December 10, 1939, in Horry County, South Carolina, Bob's journey came to a peaceful end on April 7, 2024, in Richmond County, North Carolina.

Bob dedicated 32 years of his life to owning and managing Carolina Loan with passion and dedication. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he left a lasting impact on all those he served.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bob will be remembered for his love of family and the joy he found in spending time with them. Whether it was at gatherings, celebrations, holidays, baseball games, or simply sharing a meal together, Bob cherished every moment. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, bringing him immense joy and happiness.

In addition to his successful career and devotion to his family, Bob found solace in various hobbies and interests. He took pride in gardening and maintaining his yard, finding peace and fulfillment in the beauty of nature. Summers spent in Cherry Grove, SC with his grandchildren were cherished times filled with laughter and love. Fishing and staying active were also passions that brought Bob great joy.

A man of faith and service, Bob's proudest accomplishments included being a charter member of Freedom Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, was a valued member of the choir, outreach team, and various committees. Additionally, Bob was dedicated to spreading the Love of God through his involvement with Gideons International. He often shared words of encouragement with others through scripture and prayer. One of his favorite sayings is “A working Christian is a happy Christian”.

Bob's legacy lives on through those who survive him: his daughter Deborah Spears Brown (Terry), daughter-in-law Deborah "Debbie" Spears-Adiemy (Allen), grandchildren Tyler Brown (Jerry Leigh), Andrew Spears, Evan Spears, William "Will" Spears, great-grandchildren Sophia Spears and Levi Spears, sister Janice Kempster, and brother Donald Sessions.

Bob is now reunited with his loved ones who passed before him: father Pearson Spears; mother Clara Helms Sessions Grove; the love of his life and wife of 60 years, June Grey McAdams Spears; son David Earl Spears; brother Bill Spears; sister Betty Spears Elvis.

May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of calling him husband, daddy, granddaddy, g-pa, friend or Donald Duck.
