Richard Lawrence Carter

Richard Lawrence Carter, 61, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Carter was born April 9, 1957 in Richmond County, a son of David and Martha Norton Carter. He was employed with Burlington Industries as an electrical engineer.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Morton Carter of the home; children, David B. Carter of Apex, Brandon K. Carter (Nicole) of Hamlet; grandchildren, Katlyn Carter, Jerry Bell; parents, David and Martha Carter of Hamlet; brothers, Phillip Carter of Hamlet, Robbie Carter of Hamlet, Norman Carter of Mt. Ulla, NC and sister, Sherry Mitchell of Charlotte.

Graveside services will be held privately at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 

The family will see friends from 12:15 -1:15 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at Brandon and Nicole’s home.
