Rev. Ralph David Walker

Rev. Ralph David Walker, 91, of Rockingham, completed his earthly journey on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Born November 17, 1930 in Luke, Maryland, he was a son of the late Robert and Naomi Broomback Walker. For 36 years he pastored Pentecostal Holiness Churches in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio and Oklahoma. He was a member of Kings Gate Church in Hamlet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Alice Travis Walker, son-in law, Preston Pitchford, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Surviving are his children, Rev. Ralph David Walker, Jr. (June), Mark Allan Walker (Sharon), Timothy Paul Walker (Tina), Rev. Craig Douglas Walker (Lezli) and Robin Sue Pitchford; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Kings Gate Church with Pastor Eddie McLean and Pastor Wayne Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
