Rachel Terry Russell

Rachel Terry Russell, 79, of Ellerbe, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Russell was born June 23, 1943 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Jasper and Rosa Morgan Terry. She worked with Hood Packing, TNS Mills, Richmond Yarn and Commonwealth Hosiery and was a member of Rourk Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D.”Jimmy” Russell and brothers, Ralph, Van, Jack, Charles, Leon and Lewis Terry.

Surviving are her children, Cindy McNichols (Bill), Dwight Russell, Jr., and Tony Russell (Shelly); seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sister, JoAnn English.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Rourk Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at her home.
