Phillip D. Hinson

Phillip D. Hinson,72,  of Ellerbe, passed away on November 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Phillip was born on April 5, 1950, in Moore County, a son of James Hinson and Etta Alice Comer Hinson. He attended WestMoore School and was employed at Uwharrie Environmental Services in Mt. Gilead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles Hinson, James C. Hinson, Harold Hinson Arnold Hinson and sisters Mary Davis and Loretta Blake.

Phillip is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Hinson of the home; children, Jennifer Duguay(John);Laurie Cox(Tim), son Lewis Hinson; Teresa Lambeth(Andy), son Terry Ginter; Shannon Harris(John) sister Alene Reeder; brother Hubert Hinson(Wanda), 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, with Pastor Odell Shepard officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
