Paulette Mabe McKenzie

Paulette Mabe McKenzie, 82, of Biscoe, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Autumn Care in Biscoe.

Mrs. McKenzie was born August 5, 1943 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Paul William and Helen Josephine Young Mabe. She had been a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Candor and had worked with Autumn Care in Biscoe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Fleming McKenzie and brothers, Kent Mabe and Dwight Mabe.

She is survived by her children, Richard McKenzie (Renea) and Paula Manning (Richard); grandchildren, Chris Lake, Kevin Lake, Ryan Linville (Holly) and Shawna Horne (Ethan); and great grandchildren, Parker Lake, Ashar Lake, Christian Lake, Leah Linville and Kye Horne. She is also survived by her sisters, Joy Randolph, Jewell Mackey, and Judy Atkins, as well several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm in Ellerbe Cemetery.
