Paul Taylor Swails

Paul Taylor Swails, 95, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, VA.

Mr. Swails was born December 3, 1925 in Richmond County, a son of the late Taylor McDonald and Sudie Barwick Swails. He was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church and had retired from Sealed Air Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Helen Goodwin Swails, brothers, Claude, Harris, Clayton and T.D. Swails and sisters, Eunice Thompson, Viola Patterson, Bonnie Webb, Pauline Patterson and Etta Gillis.

Surviving are his son, Sonny Swails (Cathy); grandchildren, Tal Swails (Missy) and Blaire Swails Lee (John); great grandchildren, Taylor Swails, Tucker Swails and Jackson Swails Lee.

A celebration of his life will be at 6:30 pm Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Stuart United Methodist Church in Stuart, Virginia.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, Ocotber 10, 2021 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Haber officiating. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair for the service.

The family will greet friends following the service.
