Nancy Mabe Priddy

Nancy Mabe Priddy, 84, of Ellerbe, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Mrs. Priddy was born March 8, 1939 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Everett and Elsie Mabe. She was a member of Flinty Knoll Primitive Baptist Church, Ellerbe and was devoted to her church and her family whom she loved dearly. She worked on her family farm, in the hosiery industry and the Dixie Burger. She owned and managed the Ellerbe Pantry for many years before her retirement. She was well known and loved by many people in the Ellerbe Community. She enjoyed gardening, canning, freezing and baking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Sherrill and Swanson Mabe.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Vicki Priddy O’Neal and Dale Priddy; grandchildren, B.J. Hinson (Jamie), Nikki Hinson and Jed Hinson; great grandchildren, Koby, Kaylee and Kampton; sister, Alice Hogan (David); brother, Jerry Mabe (Bonnie); sister-in-law, Catherine Mabe, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Flinty Knoll Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Hogan and Elder Don Stacy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:45 pm Thursday at the church and at other times at the home.
