Nancy Bennett Kelly

Nancy Bennett Kelly, 75, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by family at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

Ms. Kelly was born October 15, 1950, in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Ether and Myrtle Ledbetter Bennett. She was a lifelong member of Shining Light Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed her outings with the ladies auxiliary.

Along with her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years William Davis Kelly and brother Charles Bennett.

Those left to cherish her memory; sons, William “Billy” Kelly (Shannon), and Kenneth Carl Kelly (Susan); grandchildren, Kenneth “Bo” Kelly, Jr. (Missy), Cameron Kelly and Blake Kelly(Morgan), great grandchildren, Kylie Kelly and Caroline Kelly; brother Steve Bennett and sister Joan Bennett. She also leaves behind many extended family and church friends, that were always there to help.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday January 22, 2026 at Shining Light FWB Church from 12:45 to 1:45 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Tug Gainey officiating. Interment will follow at Marcus United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jackson Springs.
