Nancy Moore Glidewell

Nancy Moore Glidewell, 82, of Rockingham, passed away on February 7, 2020 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Nancy was born on December 8, 1937 in Richmond County the daughter of the late James C. Moore and Nettie Thomas Moore.  Nancy worked at Burlington Industries and was a member of Cordova Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin and Mitchell Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rufus Glidewell; her sons, Mark Glidewell, Brian Glidewell (Joanna), grandchildren Dustin Glidewell, Keagan Glidewell,Hannah Glidewell, Emily Glidewell; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Anne Elliott and Margaret Cogdell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Cordova Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Anderson and Reverend Bill Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, February 9, 2020  from 5:00 – 7:00 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
