Mitchell "Mickey" Wayne Cain

Mitchell Wayne “Mickey” Cain, 82, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Richmond Pines in Hamlet.

Mr. Cain was born September 6, 1936 in Richmond County, a son of the late William Joseph and Ruth Henry Cain. He retired from Merita Bakery after 30 years of service and then worked with Sunbeam Bakery for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell W. Cain, Jr and a daughter, Cheryl Cain.

Surviving are his wife Nancy Honeycutt Cain; Children, Kim Poole (Jim), Cindy Faircloth (Scott); grandchildren, Janelle Poole, Ashley Stanton, Nicholas McDonald, and Christian McDonald; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Cain (Frances) and sister, Ann Edwards (Earl).

Graveside services will be at 1 pm Thursday in Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Joe Wilkes, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the home.
