Miriam F. Greene

Miriam Frances Greene 93 of Rockingham, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, Jan 26, 2018 at Richmond County Hospice Haven. 

Ms. Greene was born on May 12, 1924 in Richmond County; the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Grant Greene.  She was preceded by a sister, Edyth Greene Covington.  She was a longstanding member of First Baptist Church in Rockingham, where she had served in many capacities.  She was employed with Richmond County Clerk of Courts/Superior Court for 36 years. 

She is survived by her beloved cousin/brother: Benjamin Rich (Alice) of Newport News, VA. She is survived by her nieces, Miriam Frances Rich, Sara Frances Rich of Casper, WY and Annette Covington Hammond (Bobby) and their family of Columbia, SC. Many other family members in Virginia and South Carolina. She is survived by her Rockingham family and caregivers, Leslee Gainey Greene and her family Wanda, Morgan, CJ & Caroline and Nicole. 

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 3 - 5 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Rockingham, NC.
