Melvin Cagle

Melvin Cagle, 84, of Ellerbe passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home.

Melvin was born on October 15, 1935 in Pamlico, SC a son of the late Lindo and Maggie Fuquay Cagle. Melvin was a US Army Veteran and was a retired truck driver with Family Dollar.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Cagle of the home; his sons, Willie Richard Cagle, Melvin Eugene Cagle, Tony Lynn Cagle; his daughter  Angela Davis and husband James; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. Stan Sellars officiating. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions facial coverings and social distancing are required.

Melvin will lie in state on Friday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
