Megan Elizabeth Chavis

Megan Elizabeth Chavis, 26 of Rockingham passed away Friday, December 10, 2021. Megan was born on February 2, 1995 in Chesterfield County, SC, a daughter of Elizabeth Moore and Walter Ervin Chavis, Jr. 

A  Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Southridge Baptist Church, with Ronnie Wayne Chavis officiating. 

Surviving are her mother Elizabeth Owens and step-father Lonnie Owens; father Walter E. Chavis, Jr.; siblings, Chandra Dunn(Matthew), Tyler Blackwell(Hayley), Wyatt Parker, Hewston Owens, Robert Chavis, Jasmine Chavis, Ellie Garza, nieces Jaydan Winfield, Kiley Winfield,  other family, Christy Johnson, Lynn Chavis, Ronnie Chavis(Dawn), Gina Chavis and Robbie Shankel. She was preceded in death by her grand-mother Charlene Lewis and grand-father Robert Moore.

The family requests that those attending wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
