Mary Linda Cain Sharpe

Mary Linda Cain Sharpe, 56, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. 

Mrs. Sharpe was born January 20, 1962 in Richmond County, a daughter of Frances Layton Smith and the late Jimmy Cain. She had been employed with Clark Equipment, as a C.N.A. at local nursing homes and a carrier with the Richmond County Daily Journal. She was preceded in death by her father, a son, John Luke Sharpe and brothers, Mike Cain and Jim David Cain.

Surviving are her husband, Phillip M. Sharpe of the home; mother, Frances L. Smith; brother, Jimmy Cain (Debbie) of Rockingham and sister, Patricia Herring (Jimmy) of Rockingham. 

Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday at First Assembly with Pastor Gene Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. 

The family will see friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at her mother’s home in Rockingham.
