A proud graduate of Rohanen High School, Mary Ann fostered a deep commitment to education and service. Her career encompassed significant roles in the Richmond County Schools and the Department of Social Services, where she served diligently as a supervisor. Her contributions to these institutions were marked by her fun-loving spirit and genuine kindness, traits that earned her the affection and respect of peers, students, and families alike.

Mary Ann's greatest pride lay in her family. She was the beloved daughter of John Boyd Covington and Ola Mae Taylor Covington and the devoted wife of Henry Thomas and Ray Carlton, both of whom preceded her in death. Mary Ann's heart was filled with love for her family, which resonated in the joy she found in spending precious moments with them.

She leaves behind her sister, Nancy Thomas (Jerry), niece Dana Frangos, nephew Alan Thomas (Donna), along with great nieces and nephews Taylor and David Thomas and Mayia and Emory Frangos who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

As we remember Mary Ann, we hold close the memories of her infectious laughter and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. Her unwavering spirit and loving nature made a lasting impact on many lives.
