Mary Millen Cannon

Mrs. Mary Millen Cannon, 92, of Rockingham, passed peacefully through the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Mrs. Cannon was born August 10, 1925 in Anson County, a daughter of the late John J. and Minnie England Millen. She was a faithful member of Highland Acres Church of God for 70 years and had retired from Hanes Hosiery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dowie M. Cannon.

Surviving are her daughter, Delores Cannon Long and spouse Kenneth; grandchildren, Ken Long, Jr and spouse Elizabeth, Stacey Long Fain; great grandchildren, Trey Long, Brittany Long and Eli Fain; great great grandchildren, Nathan Long and Henry Long and one sister Peggy Cain.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be at Noon Thursday at Highland Acres Church of God with Rev. Marcus Shuler officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends from 10:45 -11:45 am Thursday at the church and at other times at the home.
