Margaret Spivey Roberts

Margaret Spivey Roberts, 72, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Hamlet House in Hamlet.

Mrs. Roberts was born December 2, 1945 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Harold Willard and Margaret Eva Currie Spivey. She had retired from Burlington Industries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Eugene Roberts.

Surviving are her children, Elizabeth Ballard of Rockingham,  Donna Coleman of Rockingham, Deborah Wilson of Hamlet and Lawrence “Larry” Roberts of Hamlet; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Spivey of Rockingham and sister Norma Gwenn Williams of Rockingham.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Thursday in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Russell Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlake United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
