Margaret Lee Purvis Fisher

Margaret Lee Purvis Fisher, 92, of Cordova, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Mrs. Fisher was born July 4, 1927 in Anson County, a daughter of the late John and Lucy Deese Purvis. She was a longtime member of Cordova Baptist Church and had retired from Sara Lee Hosiery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fisher and a daughter, Barbara Jo Payne.

Surviving are her children, Donna Gainey (Mickey) of Cordova, Sybil Heath (Jimmy) of Ellerbe, Donald P. Fisher (Elizabeth) of Clearwater, FL, Tim Fisher (Kim) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kim Quick (Travis) of Cheraw, SC and Beth Ludlum (Josh) of Marston; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at Cordova Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Anderson and Rev. Richie Yow officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 9:45 – 10:45 am Friday at the church.
