Linda Allen Meggs

Linda Allen Meggs, 75, of Rockingham, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Linda was born March 9, 1951 in Marlboro County, SC, a daughter of the late Howard and Myrtle Black Allen. Early in her adult life she did secretarial work and was very proud of her shorthand and typing skills. Later she worked as a seamstress and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rene Downey, Charles Allen and Harold Allen.

She is survived by her children, Tina M. Faircloth (Richard Mabe), Joey Meggs, and Anna Cloninger (Billy), and grandchildren, Nathan Cloninger, Alaini Faircloth and Noah Cloninger. She is also survived by her siblings, Howard Allen, Jr., Wayne Allen, Mary Spivey and Denise Harrelson.

Graveside services will be at 10 am Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson, NC with the Rev. James Brown officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the home of Anna Cloninger.
