Linda Kay Lampley Smith

Linda Kay Lampley Smith, 72, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Smith was born December 20, 1948 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late Sarius and Carolyn Bowles Lampley. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Rockingham and retired from the Montgomery County Library.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, H. Dale Smith; children, H. Dale Smith, Jr. (Joy) and Deana Poole (Stanley); grandchildren, Mary Smith, Anna Smith, Rachel Smith, H. Dale “Trey” Smith, III, Jessica Poole and Jonathan Poole (Holly) and great grandchildren, Bailey, Riley and Lexie Poole.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy, 139 Flowers St., Rockingham with Rev. Steve Gilmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Church of God of Prophecy cemetery in Hamlet.

The family will greet friends from 1:30 – 2:15 Monday at the church.
