Linda Scott Goodwin

Linda Carol (Scott) Goodwin, 57, passed away at her home in Rockingham Friday, January 15, 2021, following a long battle with M.S. She was born July 31, 1963, in Stanly County, NC, the daughter of the late Julie West Maner.

Linda was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 1981. She later continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse after graduating from Richmond Community College in 1992. In addition to her work as an LPN, she also worked at Edwards IGA as a cashier, a job she also enjoyed because of her love for people. She attended the Church of God of Prophesy in Rockingham.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jimmy Goodwin; two sons, Christopher Goodwin and his fiance’, Stephanie Fowler, of Polkton and Miles Goodwin of Gaffney, SC; one sister, Vicki Maner of Sunset Harbor, NC; and her beloved pet Yorkie, “Rain” which provided her with much comfort and companionship.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
