Larry Clyde Baldwin

Larry Clyde Baldwin,71, of Rockingham, took his heavenly flight on Friday, November 18, 2022.

Larry was born September 4, 1951 in Troy, North Carolina, the son of William Clyde and Joyce Bennett Godfrey Baldwin. He was until recently a lifelong resident of Ellerbe, North Carolina, where he graduated from Ellerbe High School in 1970. Following graduation he began working with the Richmond County School System as a bus mechanic at the bus garage in Ellerbe, retiring in June of 2006. His most favorite roles in life were being a husband and PawPaw to his 5 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to mourn his passing include his wife of 22 years, Dana Sedberry Baldwin; step-daughters, Cayce Quick Williams (Todd) and Kellie Quick Russell; grandsons, Brandon Nifong (Taylor Austin), Shayne Nifong (Myah Hogan), Tyler Nifong (Katie Hicks), Camden Williams and Conner Williams; great-granddaughter, Adalyn Hogan; sister, Brenda McIntyre and nephews, Chris McIntyre (Nancy), Daniel McIntyre (Ashley) and Greg McIntyre.

A celebration of his life will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Roberdel Baptist Church, 1118 Richmond Road, Rockingham with Rev. Billy Dennis officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the Baldwin Cemetery in Norman.

The family will greet friends from 1:45 – 2:45 pm Wednesday at the church and at other times at the home on County Home Road.
