It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Juan Pablo Natividad Valencia, 17, a bright and cherished young soul who left us far too soon. Born on October 7, 2008, in Moore County, North Carolina, Juan Pablo was a vibrant junior at Richmond Senior High School, whose presence illuminated the lives of everyone around him.
Juan Pablo was known for his infectious laughter and his innate ability to bring joy and humor into any room. A truly funny person, he took great delight in making others laugh, brightening even the darkest of days with his wit and charm. Beyond his playful spirit, he was dedicated to staying active, passionately enjoying workouts at the gym and playing soccer, sports that fueled both his body and soul. He enjoyed attending church with his families at Star Pentecostal Holiness Church and Iglesia Monte Horeb
Tragically, on March 15, 2026, Juan Pablo’s life was abruptly taken in a heartbreaking automobile accident in Richmond County, North Carolina. The shock of this loss reverberates deeply through his family, friends, and community. The world has lost not just a promising young man but a beloved son, brother, and friend whose light will forever remain in our hearts.
Surviving Juan Pablo are his devoted parents, Pablo Natividad Cuellar and Veronica Valencia, who nurtured and guided his growth; his loving siblings—Emily Lopez, Frank Atilano, Yazmin Natividad, and Lilyann Natividad—who shared in his laughter and dreams; and his cherished grandparents Sandra Lopez, Francisca Cuellar, and Pablo Natividad, whose pride in him was immeasurable. His extended family also includes nephews Alexander Lopez and Santiago Lopez, along with many aunts, cousins and friends who will forever remember his kindness and warmth.
A visitation to honor Juan Pablo's life will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home-Ellerbe, located at 143 Church St, Ellerbe, NC 28338. A funeral service will follow the next day, Friday, March 20, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Family, friends, and all who knew Juan Pablo are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of this extraordinary young man.
Though his time with us was heartbreakingly brief, Juan Pablo’s spirit will endure in the smiles he inspired, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. We hold tight to those moments, carrying his memory forward as a beacon of joy in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Juan Pablo—you will be deeply missed and forever loved.
