Jonathan Wyatt Soileau, 5 months, beloved son of Benjamin David and Hannah Gordon Soileau, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at UNC Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill. Wyatt was born January 28, 2020 in Moore County, NC.

Wyatt was beautiful, funny, strong, resilient, and a fighter. He changed many lives in his short amount of time with us. He loved watching his monitors and learning new things.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Eric and Janel Gordon, Sharon Ricketts  and John David and Diane Soileau,; great grandparents, Tom and Lynn Dixon, Frank Gordon and B.J. and Glenda Soileau; Aunts and Uncles, Melanie Gordon, Conor Gordon, Brittany Soileau and Chuck Williamson and many great aunts and uncles.

An outdoor service in celebration of Wyatt’s life will be at 10:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Flinty Knoll Primitive Baptist Church in Ellerbe with David Hogan officiating. Please keep all COVID-19 restrictions in mind when attending the service. The family asks if you attend his memorial to wear blue, red, or a shirt that was made to support Wyatt. 

The family would like to thank all of the UNC Pediatric Intensive Care Unit staff for their hard work and the outstanding care they gave. The family would also like to thank everyone who loved, supported, and prayed for Wyatt throughout his journey.
