John Reginald McCroskey

 

John Reginald McCroskey, 81, of Rockingham passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Pruitt Health.

Mr. McCroskey was born on April 14, 1938, in Richmond County, a son of the late James Woodrow and Minnie Estelle Nuttal McCroskey.  He was a member of Abundant Life Church and had retired from Vulcan Materials in Rockingham. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Edith Perdue McCroskey and a brother, William McCroskey.

He is survived by his children, Pam Beachum (Roger), Hoffman, NC; David McCroskey, Hagerstown, MD; Rev. Dr. Wayne Greene (Gail) of Rockingham, NC; Rev. Ray Greene of Mayodan, NC; Wanda Bruce (Lawrence) of Mt. Gilead, NC; Terry Greene of Rockingham, NC;

brothers James McCroskey of Rockingham, NC; Rondial McCroskey (Nori) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Bobby McCroskey (Sue) of Springfield, VA; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Abundant Life Church with Pastor Joe Wilkes, Jr. officiating.  The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45 PM Wednesday at the church.  Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
