Jimmy Lee Brigman, a cherished figure in the hearts of many, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Richmond County, North Carolina, with his loving wife by his side and surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 23, 1937, in Richmond County, Jimmy lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
As the owner and operator of Brigman Heating and Air, Jimmy built not just a successful business, but a legacy that would provide comfort to countless families in his community. He approached his work with the same passion and dedication that he infused into all aspects of his life, leaving a lasting impact on those he served.
He is survived by his loving wife Clara Brigman, standing by her side through all of life's journeys. His children, Christian Brigman (Bonnie), Polly Everett (Kenneth), and John Brigman, were a source of great joy for him. He was equally proud of his grandchildren, Christin Brigman, Amber Brigman, and Kelly Everett, as well as his great-grandchildren—Lilly, James, Neveah, and Jordan—who brought immense happiness into his life.
Jimmy’s personality provided guidance and support to his family. Whether sharing a laugh or lending a helping hand, he always embodied a spirit of generosity that made everyone feel valued and appreciated. His love for his family was palpable, and the time spent together creating memories will be forever treasured.
Jimmy's life was also marked by service, having bravely served in the US Army. This chapter of his life, though just part of the man he became, spoke volumes about his character and commitment to something greater than himself.
He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Brigman, and mother, Eva Welch Brigman, who surely welcomed him with open arms after his long journey. Jimmy is also survived by his siblings, Walter Brigman and Glennie Dodds, who carry forward his memory with every shared story and laughter that echoes from the love they once built together.
A graveside service to honor the life of Jimmy, will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Northam Cemetery with Military Honors. Family will receive friends following the service.
