Jeanette Covington

On Thursday, May 3, 2018 Jeanette Humphrey Covington went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Covington was born October 7, 1943 in Rockingham, NC, the daughter of the late Dan and Nina Humphrey.

She fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Her battle has now been won.

Surviving are her four children, Tracy Covington Hamilton(Tim), James Michael Covington , Jr., Kelli Samantha Osborne, and Cheston Brian Covington(Wendy); seven grandchildren Lucas and Lauren Hamilton, Dustin and Tianna Osborne and Dillon, Megan and Morgan Covington and a brother, Dannie "Buddy" Humphrey.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11am in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC, with the Rev. Geoffrey Janes Officiating. The family request those attending to dress  in purple or bright clothing.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 am – 10:45 am prior to the service.
