Jami Lynn Corder Hinson, 42, of Rockingham, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026 at her home

She was born in Richmond County on July 23, 1984 to James Wayne and Colleen Jeffers Corder.

She spent many years as a waitress. She enjoyed helping care for people, whether cooking, cleaning or helping with appointments. Jami loved her family; she especially loved her grandchildren who she adored.

She was preceded in death by her sister Amy Truett.

Along with her parents, those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Benny Hinson, Jr.; daughter, Kaitlyn Durham (Keevin), son, Dawson Roberts (Kenzie), grandchildren: Keelyn Durham and Khloe Durham; sister Leigh Ann Locklear (McGarrett); niece, Amber Long (Clint); nephew, Nicholas Locklear (Rebecca); and brother in law, James Truett.

A service celebrate the life of Jami will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm prior to the service.
