James Earl Heaton

James Earl Heaton, 34, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Jamie was born February 25, 1986 in Richmond County, a son of the late Harry Luther and Kay Dean Heaton. He had worked as a restaurant manager in the Boston area for many years before returning to Rockingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special aunt, Kathy Dean Jarrell.

Surviving are his brother, Harry Luther “Butch” Heaton, II; uncle, Eddie Dean; aunt, Barbara Davis; many cousins; special family friend who was like a brother, James William Jeter, Jr., and the light of his life Molli Rae Morton.

The family will have a service celebrating Jamie’s life at 4pm Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Sweet Haven Church with Pastor Ricky Jacobs officiating.
