Jack Dempsey Hines, Jr

Jack D. Hines, Jr, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

Jack was born June 21, 1952, in Richmond County, a son of the late Jack Dempsey and Mary “Maggie” Singletary Hines. He had worked in accounting and restaurant management. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Hines and his beloved canine companion Paco.

Surviving are his sister, Dianne Haugen (Richard) of Hamlet, niece, Jillian Williamson (James), their children, Eden and Gunner, special friends, John Reeves, Susan Boyette, and his goddaughters, Gabrielle and Destiny.

Graveside services will be at 3pm Sunday at Richmond County Memorial Park .
