Harvey Lee Thomas

Harvey Lee Thomas, 81, of Ellerbe passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare. He was born on April 15, 1938 in Moore County a son of the late James Shouford Thomas and Martha Ester Wood  Thomas.

He was an Army Veteran, member of Saron Baptist Church and retired from CSX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Wilson Thomas.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Thomas and wife Sharon, and Joe Thomas: four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and brothers Robert Thomas and Milburn Thomas.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, with Pastor Wayne Luck officiating. Burial will follow in Rourk Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm prior to the service.
