Grady Odell Dobbins

Grady Odell Dobbins, 84, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Dobbins was born August 18, 1933 in Stokes County, NC, a son of the late Wiley and Nina Stokes Dobbins. He had served his country in the Korean War as a member of the US Marine Corps. He had retired from F. O. Day Company, and was the former owner and operator of Dobbins Excavating, Sandra Lee Motel in Mt. Airy, MD and the Gold Dust Lounge in Rockingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bebe Ann Thacker Dobbins.

Surviving are his children, Michael A. Dobbins ( Mimi) of Creston, NC, Sherrie Ann Dobbins ( Eric Issacson) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Krystal Robinson of Lumberton, Richard Robinson of Rockingham and great grandchildren, Taryn Jade, Nolan James, Amiyah Brielle and Annemarie Brooke.

Memorial services will be held privately.
