Gladys Jarrell Crenshaw

Gladys Marie Jarrell Crenshaw, 87, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

Mrs. Crenshaw was born July 12, 1931 in Mecklenburg County to William Walter and Nora Bell Laws Day, and was later adopted by Reid Andrew and Jeanette Mann Jarrell. She was a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and currently a member of Roberdel Baptist Church. She had retired as the Admission/Discharge supervisor for Richmond Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Tommy” Crenshaw, sons, Andy “Bill” Crenshaw and Gerry Crenshaw, and a grandson Casey Crenshaw.

Surviving are her son, Dale Crenshaw (Kim) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Dana Grooms, Will Crenshaw, Taylor Crenshaw and G.W. Crenshaw; a great grandson, Christopher G. Crenshaw and sisters, Mary Keener and Ann Parker, both of Maiden.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
